Welcome back to Bracketology! If you’re new here, I drop my seed list, followed by a couple of comments on specific areas that I think deserve to be touched on. Sorry for missing last week, I was busy Sunday and Monday… and then got sick the rest of the week, so I couldn’t make much of a dent in Bubble Watch (it’ll come out eventually!). Anyway, for a general idea of where the consensus of bracketologists stands, check out bracketmatrix.com.

Seed list

Bold indicates autobids and Italics indicate first four teams; first four matchups are in (parenthesis) if possible.

1 seeds: Auburn, Alabama, Duke, Tennessee

*VCU is above Arkansas on the true seed line, but they have been bumped down to allow Wake Forest’s first four game to be on the 11 line.

Bubble

Last four byes: Utah State, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas

Last four in: San Diego State, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Arkansas

First four out: BYU, SMU, North Carolina, George Mason

Next four out: Pittsburgh, Indiana, San Francisco, UC Irvine

Also considered: USC is worth a mention here, I think they have a good chance to make a run at the field. There are also about four Big 12 teams in my next eight teams out of the field, so don’t be surprised to see one of them make a run.
